You only need three ingredients to make these incredible Oreo Balls! Chocolate cookie truffles that are easy to make and even easier to eat.

Oreo Cookie + Chocolate Truffle = Oreo Balls! Best math problem ever. These little guys are simple to make and don’t require a ton of time. Once you have one, you’ll want to have them all, they are THAT good.

Ingredients for Oreo Balls

You don’t need a lot to make these sweet treats! Here’s what you need:

  • Oreo Cookies – the classic Oreo balls recipe requires original Oreo cookies. However, you can use any of the Oreo cookie flavors to make custom truffles. Blondies, mint, birthday cake, the possibilities are endless!
  • Cream Cheese – I like to use Philadelphia cream cheese because I have found that it blends together more smoothly and you can’t beat that tangy creamy taste. Leave out to soften!
  • Chocolate – feel free to use any sort of chocolate for this recipe (white, milk, dark, etc.) I just so happened to use Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate.
  • Sprinkles – these are optional but are so fun! Especially for kids 🙂

Tips and Tricks

  • Cookie Scoop: using a cookie scoop is a great way to make uniform balls. Scoop then roll around in your hands.
  • Melting Chocolate: either use a double boiler or melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals. If you notice the chocolate is too thick for dipping (which can sometimes be the case when using chocolate chips, stir in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.)
  • Dipping: use a fancy dipping tool or just use a fork like I do! A toothpick is also a very good tool for dipping.

Storing Oreo Balls

Once set and cold, store Oreo Balls in an airtight container or zip top bag in the fridge for up to two weeks! I recommend making a double batch because they go quick.

You could also freeze them for up to 3 months!
