Chocolate chips, chunks and walnuts, these soft and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are the best! So much easier to make than cookies!

Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
For Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars you’re going to need just about everything you would normally use for cookies, plus a few mix-ins. Here’s what you need:
- Butter – this is used for flavor and texture.
- Brown Sugar + Granulated Sugar – both are used to sweeten but brown sugar helps keep these cookie bars soft.
- Egg + Egg Yolks – these two are used for texture as well as structure. We are going for soft, thick and chewy here!
- Vanilla – used for flavor.
- Flour – regular all-purpose flour is all you need. This fills out the cookie bars.
- Baking Soda + Salt – baking soda helps with rising and salt balances all of the flavors.
- Walnuts – I love adding walnuts to this recipe. Their nutty flavor provides the perfect crunch.
- Mini Chocolate Chips + Chocolate Chunks – two sizes of chocolate also helps with overall texture. So good!
