Chocolate Lava Cake Recipe

This Chocolate Lava Cake Recipe is a lot easier to make than you think. A spongey chocolate cake with a warm gooey inside, so good!

Ingredients
 
 

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate baking squares or just use 4 oz chocolate chips, about 1/2 cup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 6 tablespoons flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Prepare 4 custard cups by spraying them with nonstick cooking spray and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Melt butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl until butter is melted. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar and mix until well blended. Whisk in eggs and egg yolks. Add in flour.
  • Divide evenly between prepared custard cups. Bake 13-15 minutes or until the sides are firm and the center is soft. Let the cakes stand for 1 minute before inverting cups and removing them. Serve warm with ice cream!
