Ingredients

  • 9 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 20 oz mini marshmallows divided
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup red, white & blue sprinkles or patriotic jimmies

Instructions

  • Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper. Set aside. Spray a large pot and a rubber spatula with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  • Working quickly, add the cereal and the reserved 2 cups of mini marshmallows. Fold into the marshmallow mixture.
  • When almost combined, add in about 1/3 cup of the sprinkles. Mix until the sprinkles are evenly combined throughout the mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down until it is flat.
  • Top with remaining sprinkles and let set at room temperature for at least an hour.
