Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake

This is the easiest Coffee Cake recipe out there! Laced with a cinnamon streusel and topped with a simple glaze, it’s perfect for breakfast!

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup butter melted
  • 15.25 oz yellow cake mix 1 box
  • ingredients to make the cake batter eggs, oil, water

for the icing

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray your baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir in melted butter. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl prepare cake mix according to the package directions.
  • In the prepared baking pan, pour half of the cake batter then top that with half of the streusel. Carefully spoon the rest of the cake batter over and then finally sprinkle the rest of the streusel on top.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Prepare the icing by stirring the milk and powdered sugar together. Drizzle over the slightly cooled cake.
