Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Chocolate chips, chunks and walnuts, these soft and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are the best! So much easier to make than cookies!
- 3/4 cup butter 1 1/2 sticks or 12 tablespoons
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13 pan with foil or parchment paper, set aside.
Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl then stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar.
Mix in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla until light in color.
Next add in flour, baking soda, and salt. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to ensure a well-mixed dough.
Finally mix in the chocolate chips, chunks, and walnuts. Press dough into prepared pan.
Bake 15-18 minutes or until the center is mostly cooked. Then cool 15 minutes before cutting.
